RPAC in Action

About
CARPAC

Protecting private property rights, promoting homeownership, and keeping REALTOR® voices heard — at every level of government. Your voluntary investment makes it possible.

Cobb REALTORS® Political Action Committee

What is CARPAC?

CARPAC is the advocacy and RPAC fundraising committee of Cobb REALTORS®. The committee helps educate members about the importance of political advocacy and encourages voluntary investments in the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC).

By supporting RPAC, members help strengthen REALTOR® advocacy at the local, state, and national levels. These voluntary investments support efforts to protect private property rights, promote homeownership, and advance policies that benefit the real estate industry and the communities REALTORS® serve.

CARPAC also keeps members informed about legislative issues affecting real estate, promotes participation in advocacy initiatives, and helps ensure REALTORS® have a strong voice in the decisions that impact their business and their clients.

RPAC Investments

Contributions are not deductible for income tax purposes. Contributions to RPAC are voluntary and are used for political purposes. You may refuse to contribute without reprisal and the National Association of REALTORS®, the Georgia Association of REALTORS®, the Cobb REALTORS® Association will not favor or disfavor any member because of the amount contributed. 70% of each contribution is used by GARPAC and ARPAC to support state and local candidates. Until GARPAC reaches its RPAC goal, 30% is sent to National RPAC to support federal candidates and is charged against your limits under 2 U.S.C. 441a; after GARPAC reaches its RPAC goal, it may elect to retain your entire contribution for use in supporting state and local candidates.
