Dues Billing Schedule
- The Cobb REALTORS® fiscal year is January 1 – December 31. Annual dues are billed in September and must be paid by October 1.
- For example, 2027 dues will be billed the first week of September 2026 and due by October 1, 2026.
- Members joining after January will pay prorated dues based on their join date.
Membership Approval
- Membership is subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
- In the event of non-election, dues will be refunded; however, the $60 application fee is nonrefundable.
Orientation Requirement
- New members must complete orientation within 90 days of membership confirmation.
- Failure to meet this requirement may result in termination of membership.
Code of Ethics and Association Guidelines
By submitting this application, you agree to:
- Abide by the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), which includes the duty to arbitrate or mediate disputes if required.
- Comply with the Constitution, Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations of CAR, GAR, and NAR.
- Complete a written examination on these topics if requested.
Membership Obligations
Membership includes ongoing responsibilities:
- Completing periodic Code of Ethics training as outlined in the association’s bylaws.
- Remaining compliant with association policies.
- Membership is final only after meeting all requirements, including orientation.
Ethics Complaint Policy
- If membership is terminated or resigned while an ethics complaint is pending, renewal may be conditioned upon agreeing to submit to the pending proceeding and abide by the decision.
- The duty to arbitrate remains even if membership lapses, provided the dispute arose during membership.
