By completing and submitting this application, you are applying for REALTOR^® Membership in the Cobb Association of REALTORS^®. Please review all requirements below before proceeding.

A $60 nonrefundable application fee is required, along with prorated membership dues for CAR, GAR, and NAR. Payment must be completed within 48 hours of receiving your confirmation email.

Dues Billing Schedule

The Cobb REALTORS^® fiscal year is January 1 – December 31. Annual dues are billed in September and must be paid by October 1.
For example, 2027 dues will be billed the first week of September 2026 and due by October 1, 2026.
Members joining after January will pay prorated dues based on their join date.

Membership Approval

Membership is subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
In the event of non-election, dues will be refunded; however, the $60 application fee is nonrefundable.

Orientation Requirement

New members must complete orientation within 90 days of membership confirmation.
Failure to meet this requirement may result in termination of membership.

Code of Ethics and Association Guidelines

By submitting this application, you agree to:

Abide by the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS^® (NAR), which includes the duty to arbitrate or mediate disputes if required.
Comply with the Constitution, Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations of CAR, GAR, and NAR.
Complete a written examination on these topics if requested.

Membership Obligations

Membership includes ongoing responsibilities:

Completing periodic Code of Ethics training as outlined in the association’s bylaws.
Remaining compliant with association policies.
Membership is final only after meeting all requirements, including orientation.

Ethics Complaint Policy

If membership is terminated or resigned while an ethics complaint is pending, renewal may be conditioned upon agreeing to submit to the pending proceeding and abide by the decision.
The duty to arbitrate remains even if membership lapses, provided the dispute arose during membership.

Membership Agreement and Acknowledgment

I hereby apply for REALTOR® membership in the Cobb Association of REALTORS® (“Association”). I understand that a one-time, nonrefundable application fee of $60 is required, in addition to the applicable prorated membership dues payable to the Association.

If my application is not approved, any dues I have paid will be refunded; however, the application fee is nonrefundable.

I agree to complete the Association’s required new-member orientation within 180 days of receiving confirmation of my membership. Failure to complete orientation within the required timeframe may result in the suspension or termination of my membership.

Upon acceptance into membership, I agree to abide by:

The Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS®, including the duty to arbitrate disputes or participate in mediation when required by the Association;

The Constitution, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and policies of the Cobb Association of REALTORS®;

The governing documents and requirements of the Georgia Association of REALTORS®; and
The Constitution, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and policies of the National Association of REALTORS®.

When required, I also agree to satisfactorily complete any reasonable and nondiscriminatory examination concerning the Code of Ethics and the applicable constitutions, bylaws, rules, and regulations.

I understand that REALTOR® membership provides certain privileges and carries corresponding responsibilities. Membership is final only upon approval by the Association’s Board of Directors and may be suspended or terminated if required membership obligations, including orientation and payment requirements, are not completed within the timeframes established by the Association’s Bylaws and policies.

As a continuing condition of membership, I agree to complete periodic Code of Ethics training in accordance with the requirements of the Association and the National Association of REALTORS®.

Pending Ethics and Arbitration Matters

I acknowledge that, if I resign or otherwise allow my membership to terminate while an ethics complaint is pending, the Board of Directors may require, as a condition of future membership, that I certify my willingness to participate in the pending ethics proceeding and abide by the decision of the hearing panel.

I further acknowledge that the duty to submit to arbitration continues after my membership has lapsed, been resigned, or been terminated, provided the dispute arose while I was a REALTOR®.

Dues and Payment Requirements

The dues amount shown on this application is prorated based on the month in which membership begins, unless the applicant held membership during the previous calendar year.

The application fee and all applicable dues must be paid within 48 hours of the membership confirmation email. Payment may be submitted online or by check or cash delivered to the Association’s office.

Failure to submit payment within 48 hours will result in the suspension of membership and all associated benefits and services until payment is received.

PLEASE NOTE: PAYMENT OF YOUR APPLICATION FEE AND DUES ARE PAYABLE WITHIN 48 HOURS OF RECEIPT OF YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAIL, EITHER ON-LINE OR BY CHECK/CASH DELIVERED TO OUR ASSOCIATION OFFICES. FAILURE TO MEET THIS REQUIREMENT WILL RESULT IN SUSPENSION OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP AND ASSOCIATED BENEFITS AND SERVICES UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.
